I am retired now. My 45+ years of dealing with the public – people - gave me the training, experience, and background to represent the interests of all of Friendswood.

In business I worked with all walks of life during my career. From working folks, like me, in the construction and housing business to medical professionals.

 

I was trained to ask questions, listen to answers, utilize resources, and help people find solutions – I do not know it all - Far from it. But I do know how to find the right people that do have the answers.  (And they do not all work at City Hall)
 

My wife Kathy and I moved to Friendswood with our two sons 30 years ago when my job brought me to the Houston area. (We have one son moving back to Friendswood soon with his family and we will keep working on the other one).

 

Kathy called Friendswood “A small town oasis in the middle of the big cities.” I just said, “yes ma’am,” and bought a house and went to work.

She picked Friendswood for that reason. The same reason I believe most either move to Friendswood or stay here for even today. It is important that we keep it that way. At least as much as possible. 

 

Growth and change are great. At least the right kind of growth. I am all for free enterprise. I am not for government paying for it. 

Keeping a low profile is my personal preference. I am not a politician, but I will speak up when I believe there is a need. For the last several years, myself and many others have seen the need to speak up.
